Cormeilles
The Lieuvin Pays d'Auge, an authentic and preserved territory in the heart of the Normandy countryside.
Located in tne west of the department of the Eure, the Lieuvin Pays d'Auge, situated twixt the Calonne valley and the Lieuvin plateau, is unveiled by verdant landscapes, dotted with apple fields and charming picturesque villages.
It is in Cormeilles, a Gallo-Roman village of character that you will find the Auberge du Président. Clzssified as a green halt and floral village, Cormeilles is a dynamic town, with an exceptional arhictectural heritage (the church Sainte-Croix, the Town hall, the manor Val Hébert of the 15th century, old half-timbered houses ... .). The rue Pont-Audemer is a good example, formerly the hosiers street and Roman road, it remains today one of the jewels of the Pays d'Auge with its many half-timbered houses that rival each other for their elegance and charm.
Among them, two old 16th century coaching inns of character: the relay of the Post and its corbels and the relay of the diligence. Cormeilles is famous for its Busnel distillery, the opportunity to discover the manufacturing process of Calvados, with its copper stills and aging cellars as for its craftsmen including Gouty, master glassmaker. Ideally located in the Normandy countryside near the coast, our hostel is in the heart of a popular tourist destination. Pont-Audemer, the Normandy Venice; Lisieux with its basilica; Beuvron-en-Auge with its half-timbered houses and manor houses and of course, the flowery coast with its charming seaside resorts (Deauville, Trouville, Cabourg, Houlgate ...), the picturesque old harbor of Honfleur or the unmissable Cerza zoo to discover with the family, are only minutes away.
